Yasir’s ton seals big win for Abbottabad in T20 opener

KARACHI : Yasir Hameed’s magnificent century sealed a big victory of 72 runs for Abbottabad Falcons against Quetta Bears in the opening match of the Faisal Bank National Twenty20 Cup 2011 here at the National Stadium on Sunday.Put into bat by Quetta Bears captain Bismillah Khan, Abbottabad Falcons made 190 runs for only two wickets in the allotted 20 overs with the help of a century by opener Yasir and a half-century by Adnan Raees.Opener Yasir scored 101 and Adnan made 51 and both remained not out.In reply, Quetta Bears could not chase the huge target of 191 and made only 118 runs for the loss of eight wickets.Fast bowler Junaid Khan captured three wickets for 24 and Khalid Usman claimed two for 10 for Abbottabad Falcons.
