IPL: Kolkata beat Rajasthan by 5 wkts



KOLKATA: Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) defeated Rajasthan Royals (RR) by five wickets with four balls remaining in Friday’s only match of the Indian Premier League – V here at the Eden Gardens.
Chasing 132, the KKR achieved their second victory in four matches in 19.2 overs when Netherlands’ Ryan ten Doeschate hit a huge six off Ankeet Chavan.
This was second defeat for Rajasthan Royals out of their four matches so far in the tournament.
Main scorers for Kolkata were South Africa’s Jacques Kallis (31), Manvinder Bisla (29) and Manoj Tiwary (24).
Earlier, Rajasthan Royals winning the toss batted first and made 131 for five in 20 overs.
England’s Owais Shah top scored with 31 while captain Rahul Dravid scored 24 and Shreevats Goswami hit 24.
For the KKR, Bangladesh allrounder Shakib Al Hasan captured three wickets for 17 runs.
