T-20I: Windies set 151-run target for Pakistan

GROS ISLET, Saint Lucia: Aggressive batting display by Lendl Simmons and Darren Bravo helped West Indies set a modest target of 151 runs for Pakistan in the only Twenty20 Inrternational being played hers at Beausejour Stadium on Thursday.After captain Darren Sammy won the toss and elected to bat in their first T20I against Pakistan the West Indies made 150 runs for the loss of seven wickets in the allotted 20 overs.Opener Simmons hammered 65 off 44 balls with seven fours and two sixes while Bravo scored 42 from 33 balls with four boundaries and two sixes.Both added 99 runs in 11.1 overs for the second wicket partnership.Other batsmen could not make any significant contribution.For Pakistan, slow left-arm spinner Abdul Rehman and off-break bowler Saeed Ajmal and left-arm fast-medium Wahab Riaz captured two wickets each for 22, 35 and 24, respectively.Teams:West Indies: Darren Sammy (captain), Andre Fletcher (wk), Lendl Simmons, Darren Bravo, Marlon Samuels, Danza Hyatt, Christopher Barnwell, Andre Russell, Ashley Nurse, Devendra Bishoo, Ravi Rampaul Pakistan: Shahid Afridi (captain), Mohammad Hafeez, Misbah-ul-Haq, Asad Shafiq, Umar Akmal, Abdur Rehman, Saeed Ajmal, Mohammad Salman (wk), Wahab Riaz, Junaid Khan, Ahmed Shahzad.
